Are children allowed?

To give all our guests the opportunity to celebrate without having to worry about little eyes and ears, we politely request no children.

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

We invite you to be fully present with us during the ceremony. Please turn off all mobile phones and cameras and enjoy this moment with us. We promise to share with you all photos and videos from this special day! Please do not post any photos or videos on social media until we have put a post up ourselves. After the ceremony there are opportunities for photographs outside the building, however, they do not allow confetti at The Abbeygate. Biodegradable confetti can be thrown at The Abbey Gardens, which is a short walk just across the car park and will provide a wonderful backdrop for more photographs.

Will there be vegetarian and vegan menu options?

Yes - we will contact all guests who have dietary requirements to confirm meal choices.

Gifts

We know it's not traditional and not the way it's done, rather than a wedding list we'd love a bit of sun. So if you'd like to give a gift and send us on our way, a donation to our honeymoon would really make our day.

What time should I arrive at the Ceremony?

Please ensure that you arrive at the venue at least 15 minutes before the ceremony start time so that you can be seated in readiness for the ceremony to begin. The waiting area for guests can be found on the ground floor of the building.

Is there parking at the ceremony venue?

Parking can be found at the short stay Angel Hill public pay and display car park which is located at the front of The Abbeygate. The parking meters take cash, card payment or you can use RingGo and you can park here for up to 2 hours. Please use the postcode IP33 1UZ for your satnav and allow plenty of time as the car park does get very busy. Longer stay car parking can also be found at Ram Meadow, Cotton Lane, IP33 1XP which is within a short walk of the venue.

Is there parking at the reception venue?

Yes, space for up to 35 cars is available. Please note that no parking is allowed overnight at the reception venue.
